A Dialogue Between Art and Function: An Apartment in Saint Petersburg

Elizaveta Shmitkova, co-founder of a company with longstanding experience in the HoReCa sector, decided to explore private residential design, beginning with her own apartment in Saint Petersburg.

Working in collaboration with the Italian studio D’Orsa Architecture & Design, she created a space where contemporary art intertwines with everyday functionality, while theatricality is balanced by impeccable proportions. Here, boiserie flows seamlessly into architectural portals, decorative mouldings echo the soft upholstered headboard, and the muted tone of the walls provides the perfect backdrop for the artwork.
